Our video department has grown! As the new video editor for Fish, I couldn’t be more excited. We are diligently expanding and building our department to best serve our community with quality, inspired content that represents our clients in a modern, thoughtful, intriguing style. Video has rapidly become an essential tool to communicate with an audience. Viewers have come to expect video representation of not only client work but also the personality of your business.
To find creative direction it is best to look at the numerous components that make up your desired finished product. Put it all in front of you. Here we have a project for Hallmark Inns. At face value, it’s a commercial. But there are many more pieces to contemplate: imagery, color, music, target demographic, budget, location, heart…everything is an influence.
Consider your company. What do you need to do to relate to your audience? How will they relate to you? More than ever it is important to connect with customers in an honest, emotional way. This means really listening. It means looking at all the parts and deeming them valuable to the whole. This is our constant journey, and I sure do love the ride.
