Hallmark's previous website no longer encapsulated the essence of the brand and the unique guest experience it offers. Fish initiated an in-depth exploration of user experiences, paving the way for a strategic overhaul. The focus was on expediting the journey from visitor to guest, seamlessly integrating video elements to provide users with a warm introduction to the Hallmark experience. A pivotal feature of the revamped site is the constant presence of a "book now" call-to-action, strategically placed for effortless and direct booking across the entire website.
The effectiveness of Hallmark's emails had been on the decline when they came to Fish. Their design, content and promotions were falling flat on their recipients, and click through rates were down. Fish created a new annual campaign to promote all seasons at Hallmark—particularly the 'shoulder' seasons—and redesigned their email templates to better reflect the brand’s beauty and aesthetic.
Through visually captivating and informative email campaigns, our team has significantly elevated brand recognition and ticket sales for Snowvana, a massive snow festival held in the Pacific Northwest. The strategic use of emails has become a cornerstone of our marketing approach for the event with an average open rate of 37%, almost doubling the industry average.
Skyline Hawai’i is the country’s first commercial zipline company and consistently voted the best zipline tours on Maui and the Big Island. After a beautiful rebranding project with DTTB, they came to us to utilize that brand work on a new website. They were currently working from two different websites that had become unwieldy and wanted to improve their mobile responsiveness and increase conversions. To put ease-of-use at the forefront, we developed a robust UX to combine their websites into one and created a filter system to streamline their tour offerings. To increase conversions, we made booking the most visible action on every page, with the booking widget visible on all troubleshooting pages and a “book now” CTA in the navigation bar. And because they’re such a historic and well-loved company on the island, we included a dynamic history section with animations and “fun fact” poppets to highlight their conservation work and highlight their personality.

Our “job” was to create a super-fun look and feel for their new website and tell the people of Portland and Denver just how amazing the private suite karaoke party experience is. This is exemplified by a Saddleback Maine-specific email that garnered an astounding 67% open rate – three times the industry average.As Indy Pass expanded to encompass 180+ resorts and underwent a rebranding, we seamlessly adjusted their email template to accommodate.
The Portland Rose Festival is rich with history. Since its ideation in 1905 at the end of the Lewis and Clark Centennial Exposition, to the first festival in 1907, to its being named Portland's Official Festival in 2013, a lot had changed. Everything, that is, except their website. Fish helped the festival reimagine their website design and user experience to better convey the magic, whimsy and history of the Rose Festival in a modern way that would resonate with a younger generation.
Winter can be a real downer for restaurants. It gets dark early. People tend to hibernate. Most restaurant sales decline. To combat this trend, Laughing Planet launched an ultra-green, tiny carbon footprint bike delivery program to bring bowls and burritos directly to their customers. Fish created digital campaigns to target customers most likely to order through third party delivery services, including campaign-specific landing pages. The effort was so successful that Laughing Planet sales did not decline during their historically slow winter months.
Lyrical Systems helps entertainment businesses connect guests through the power of music. To better position the company for growth, our clients needed a new brand and improved web presence. After the creation of a new logo and ‘look & feel’ for the company, we turned to the website - bringing the technology to life through design.
Old Spaghetti Factory (OSF) came to Fish to help them promote their 50th Anniversary. In discovery, we found out they didn't have an email list to efficiently talk to customers. So Fish helped them build an email list by offering an incentive: a free entree on their birthday when they joined “The Factory Family.” To launch, we added a newsletter sign-up in a "sticky footer" on their site. That got us about 100 signups per day. Then, the client mentioned they had some budget for a promotion with Dr Pepper, so we created a “Deals and Disneyland” campaign utilizing table tents and social media, offering the possibility of winning a trip to Disneyland along with some Dr Pepper swag for signing up. After two months, OSF had over 36,000 names in the database, costing them only a couple thousand dollars. The lesson? Never underestimate the power of free birthday meals and the happiest place on earth.
