As the laid-back days of Oregon summer quickly transition into back-to-business fall, I’m happy to announce a couple of big changes for Fish Marketing as well. First of all, we recently moved our offices down the hall to a much larger space on the 6th floor of our Olympic Mills Commerce Center. And although our address will only change slightly (to suite 620), our view has changed a lot—from Mt. Hood to Big Pink!
Perhaps more significant than our downtown view, however, is our new collaboration with MBT Marketing and Communications, one of the top retail and media shops in the Northwest. Both agencies will remain independent and although we are not merging, we share expertise and overhead, and collaborate on select projects.
We are very excited about our new digs, our new alliance, and our ability to serve our clients better. If you’re in the neighborhood, please stop by and say hi. We’d love to show you around.
Best Regards,
Doug Fish
A Tale of Two Dealerships

If you think making a compelling, effective TV commercial is a challenge, imagine creating two at the same time—for two competing businesses selling the exact same product! That’s the unique situation Mercedes-Benz of Portland and Mercedes-Benz of Wilsonville brought to Fish Marketing. While these ‘sister dealerships’ are both part of Lithia Motors, each wanted a completely separate identity and marketing strategy. Our solution? Focus on two different emotional motivations of the target audience, and establish a point of difference to help each dealership ‘shine’ without tarnishing the other. Click here to see more videos.
A Woolly Owned Subsidiary

Ashland Bay is a wholesale provider offering North America's largest selection of exceptional dyed fibers, ecru fibers and yarns. After a recent re-branding, Fish Marketing created a new digital strategy and website for Ashland Bay. The website features a natural and colorful design reflecting the Ashland Bay brand: The fiber of imagination.
Large imagery and professional product photography were used to show the amazing detail in the varieties of fibers. An Open Source e-commerce platform gives customers online ordering power and automates processes for Ashland Bay. Another great feature is the dealer locator where customers can search for dealers by zip code or street address.
The result? Just ask the owner, Jim L., "I'm very pleased with the results, as is everyone here. Orders are flowing in and are being processed seamlessly. Well done!"
