Fish Clients’ Web Traffic Up 35%

Does having a search engine marketing (SEM) plan really make a difference? Just ask our clients. This year, Fish clients have seen their website visits increase a whopping 35% on average compared to last year. These increases can be attributed to substantial growth in site visibility, thanks to strategic keyword placement and other highly effective SEO and paid search tactics. As our on- and off-page SEM strategies continue to garner results, we expect the upward trend in our clients’ website traffic to keep going strong. And as our clients are finding out, increased web traffic means increased sales!

What’s Your Story?

Every brand has a story. Telling yours with a short web video is a great way to boost search optimization and get more new business leads. In fact, we just updated our own Fish Marketing web video, and are now getting a ton of great feedback. If you haven’t seen it yet, take a look. Then ask us about telling your story with video.

Real-Time Intelligence

For the past month, the Fish Marketing web crew has been beta testing the newest version of Google Analytics. One of the most popular web analytics platforms on the market, it has evolved into an incredibly valuable tool for assessing site-visit behavior. The newest update offers cutting-edge insight, with the ability to view real-time visitor and site data, and determine messaging effectiveness.

Here’s a recent example: within two minutes of sending out a client’s e-mail blast, we watched the number of visits on the site increase exponentially, and could see which content appealed to specific users and which didn’t. Based on this real-time data, we were able to immediately make site and content adjustments to increase the appeal to the site’s visitors, which will help lead to more conversions in the future.

Next month, we’ll focus on the impact of Google+ and social search on the organic search realm, including the recently introduced Google+ business pages.

A Match Made on the Mountain

For the last four years, Fish Marketing has partnered seven local Subaru dealerships with Mt. Hood Skibowl and Timberline ski area in a very successful promotion. When customers buy or lease a new Subaru, they receive two Mt. Hood Fusion Passes, good all season at both resorts. It’s a win-win-win. Subaru builds brand awareness as the “official vehicle of Mt. Hood,” the dealers see more sales, and the resorts get ongoing exposure in a multimedia ad campaign. The promotion has worked so well in Portland, now it’s heading north. This year, we’re helping seven Seattle-area Subaru dealerships kick off their campaign as “the official vehicle of Crystal Mountain.”

Cool. Very Cool.

Irah’s is a frozen yogurt place with a different kind of culture. Nestled in the heart of Goose Hollow, Irah’s unique lounge setting invites customers to linger over their frozen yogurt creations, while enjoying cozy furnishings, flat screen TVs and free Wi-Fi. The store is built with environmentally friendly materials, uses biodegradable cups and spoons, and donates 5% of its profits to charity every month. Fish created a new website and complete social media marketing plan to launch to coolest new froyo shop in town.
